About the role

Shiga is fundamentally a fintech company. Our financial infrastructure powers global money movement and treasury management for our clients. BTC & Stablecoins are becoming a crucial tool to make these processes faster, more cost-effective, and more accessible.

We are seeking a highly talented and impactful BTC & Stablecoin Engineer to architect and build a scalable, reliable system while guiding other engineers through the complexities of blockchain integration.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and scale Shiga’s BTC & stablecoin-based payment and treasury infrastructure.
• Own the technical architecture for BTC & stablecoin money movement, including wallet infrastructure and fiat payment integrations, with a focus on compliance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with external providers and internal stakeholders to deliver end-to-end product flows.
• Tackle Shiga’s most challenging fintech problems using innovative technologies.
• Partner with teams across Shiga to integrate BTC & stablecoin capabilities into core products.
• Contribute to technical excellence through code reviews, architectural discussions, and mentoring.
• Develop internal ledgering systems to track balances across chains and token types.
• Integrate BTC & stablecoin infrastructure into existing payment systems, enabling seamless conversion between any supported currency and stablecoins.
• Design and implement secure systems for key management, transaction signing, gas fee management, and blockchain integration.
• Own services that manage the full lifecycle of BTC & stablecoin transactions: mint, burn, transfer, and reconciliation.
